Games Industry Unlocked Workshop Recap | Expanding Design Thinking Beyond the Classroom
Lumina Academy recently collaborated with the Faculty of Industrial Design - Hanoi Open University to successfully organize the workshop “Games Industry Unlocked: Design Thinking for the Modern Games Industry”, bringing students a practical perspective on career opportunities within one of the fastest-growing creative industries worldwide.
The highlight of the workshop was not only about exploring the games industry itself, but also the moment when many students realized that the knowledge they are developing today can go much further than expected.
From form development, composition, color theory, to visual storytelling – skills that often begin as classroom exercises are actually fundamental elements behind many modern creative industries, especially game production.
Discovering the Creative Thinking Behind Games
Throughout the workshop, students explored how the games industry operates as a multidisciplinary creative ecosystem where art, design, and technology come together.

- Exploring career opportunities and professional positions behind a game project.
